Common questions
How Fast We Get to You
Are you really open 24/7?
Yes. The phone gets answered 365 days a year, weekends and public holidays too, and a real licensed plumber is on the other end. If your drain backs up at midnight, call, we'll talk it through and get a plumber moving.
How fast can you get here?
We guarantee on-site in 30 minutes. That's not an average, it's the promise, because a blocked drain rarely waits for a convenient hour.
How do I book online?
Use the form on our contact page and tell us what's happening, roughly when it started, and the best number to reach you on. We'll call back to confirm and get a plumber on the way. Booking through the site also unlocks our online-only discount.
Do you work weekends and public holidays?
All year round, weekends and public holidays included, at no extra call-out cost. The $0 call-out fee applies whenever we come.
Common questions
Pricing and Offers
How does the 10% seniors discount work?
It's 10% off the job for senior customers, no card or eligibility check needed. It stacks with our other online offer too, so both can apply to the same job.
Do prices change once you start?
No. We agree a fixed price before any work starts, and that's the number on the invoice. The price we quote is the price you pay, no exceptions.
What does "$50 off when you book online" cover?
It's $50 off the job total when you book through our website instead of calling. Combine it with the seniors discount if that applies to you.
Is the quote really free?
Yes. We look at the job and give you a written number with no obligation to book, and no charge just for turning up. The $0 call-out fee covers that visit.
Common questions
The Engadine Questions
What suburbs do you service?
Engadine plus the surrounding Sutherland Shire, including Heathcote, Sutherland, Gymea, Jannali and Kirrawee. Not on that list? Give us a call anyway, chances are we're still close enough to help.
Do you know Engadine's pipe stock?
Most of Engadine went up through the post-war decades as brick-veneer and fibro homes on generous blocks, and plenty of the original drainage never got replaced. We see the same clay and earthenware pipework on these streets often enough to know exactly what we're looking for.
Do you work on strata and apartment blocks?
Yes, though most of Engadine is freestanding houses rather than blocks of units. Shared drainage lines in strata blocks need the same fixed-price, no-surprises approach as any house call.
How local are you, really?
We're in Engadine and the surrounding Shire on a regular run, not flying in from across Sydney for one job. Anzac Oval, Ferntree Reserve, the shops on Old Princes Highway, we know the streets around them.
Common questions
Licensed, Insured and Done Properly
Who is responsible for a blocked sewer, me or Sydney Water?
Generally, everything from your boundary shaft into the house is yours to fix, and we handle that. If sewage is surfacing out at the street and your neighbours have the same problem, that's more likely a Sydney Water mains issue, and we can help you work out which one you're dealing with.
What is an overflow relief gully and why does it matter?
It's the grated fitting near your house, usually at ground level, designed to let sewage overflow safely outside rather than back up into the house. If yours is bubbling or overflowing, that's a sign of a blockage further down the line, and it needs looking at properly.
Can I clear a blocked drain myself?
A plunger on a simple sink or toilet clog is fine to try. Chemical drain cleaners and hired electric eels can crack old pipework or push the blockage further in, and any actual drainage work in NSW legally needs a licensed plumber.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. NSW plumbing licence #275278C, Master Plumber accredited, and covered by $20 million public liability insurance. Ask to see the licence on the day if you want to check.
